Keypath p16/Ki-67 Immunoassay Test Kit (ICC)

Product Introduction

p16/Ki-67 dual staining reagent is an important marker for cervical cancer screening and diagnosis, which is a new detection method joint recommended by CAP and ASCCP, also recommended by Bethesda Version 2015.

Theory

  • p16 causes cell cycle arrest
  • Ki-67 markers cell proliferation
  • Simultaneous expression of both indicates cell cycle disorders and canceration.

Result Interpretation

Nucleus of the cell is stained burgundy and cytoplasm is brown or tan.

Advantages

  • High sensitivity, High Specificity
  • With p16 signal at nucleus and cytoplasm, Ki-67 signal at nucleus, staining result will be clear enough for interpretation, avoiding to judge cancerous cells by Morphology.
  • Reducing waste of resources and avoiding potential hazard by over diagnosis.
  • Reducing workload, improve image reading efficiency, and identify risk of pathological changes.
  • Effectively reducing the missed diagnosis rate of HSIL and reducing/avoiding unnecessary colposcopy.
